Streams for Sunday: Incubators are Good.

I have decided to go on a 10-week travel fast. Pasadena is a good incubator. I will do my best to not leave you, City of Roses.

  1. Oh dear. This topic is near and dear but it’s late in Tanzania and I have to shut this little Mac and gathers my off-spring and head home, where I happen to know my internet is done. I know because I saw the cable dangling pathetically from the pole as I drove down my lane this evening. So… I will just send love and the promise that no matter how far we get away from each other, we are community for life.

  2. Gather… not gathers. She gathers…. but I gather.

  3. Jenelle says:

Community for life. I gather those word and hold them to my heart, Lisa.

  4. Melissa says:

    hey there nelly

its been awhile since i wandered around in blogdom. i missed you while i was away from it. this post reminds me of our conversation before Christmas. when i miss our community, it’s good to remember that it’s pointing to something that was good, is good, and can be found again. i’m beginning to learn that finding true community again takes more effort than i sometimes want to give. we were so lucky to have stumbled on such wonderful instant community back in the ol’ europe days. i cried thinking about it in the car on the way home last night. i think we need more incubators in our lives, because like babies with too many white blood cells, we need them to survive.

i love you and i love your new mirror self-portrait. you really are so beautiful. i’m coming back to the bloggy world soon, i hope.
